First and foremost, I resigned earlier this week!! Wehey!! If noone has resigned for a while, I highly recommend it. It can be a very liberating experience!

It is great to see so much interest in the Stag's outfit. In the official poll we have Matador out in front closely following in joint second by Paella Especiall and Flamenco. Fortunately none of you think dressing him like a gary is going to be amusing and consequently Linekar's Bar has still to get off the mark.

I came across this gag the other day and it amused me..

Three newly married men were sitting in a bar together bragging how they had given their new wives housework duties.

The first man had married a woman from Albania. He bragged that he had told his wife she was to do all the washing up, laundry, dusting and cleaning in the house. He said that on the first day he didn’t see anything but on the second day he came home to a clean house, the dishes were all washed and put away and the laundry too had been done.

The second man had married a woman from the Ukraine. He bragged that he had given his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, washing up and the cooking. He told them that the first day he did not see any results but the next day it was better. By the third day his house was clean, the dishes were done, and he had a huge dinner on the table.

The third man married a girl from Liverpool. He boasted that he told his wife that her duties were to keep the house clean, the dishes washed, the lawn mowed, the laundry done and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said that on the first day he did not see anything, the second day he still did not see anything, but by the third day most of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye.

Lofty vs Oo Arr

I see "Lofty" has accepted my invitation to post on buckersthestag. In case you are wondering why the dickhead on Eastenders who was married to that bird from Grange Hill is interested in our European vacation, Lofty is better known to those of you who joined me on my Stag as "OO ARR".

Despite Lofty being slightly more politically correct than Oo Arr, I am not convinced it is more appropriate. I would like to invite Oo Arr to argue his case ....

Bonehead those outfits are inspired. I personally currently favour the gay pirate, but the cake is a beauty. I am not sure the Stag would need the fake breasts though... maybe just a pair of speedos with the cake around his waste.

Gentlemen

Consider this a journal of the remaining weeks until buckers hands in his notice and Paul Buckley the husband emerges from a church just outside Southampton.

It is our job to make the most of the final few weeks of buckers' time as a single gentleman and to ensure that we have a monstrously good time on our European vacation.

Obviously you are all aware that the destination is Valencia. Specifics of accomodation, activities and drinking venues will be discussed and posted here, at buckersthestag.

A decision has to be made on the method of buckers' rise to Stagdom. The buckersthestag poll is here to gauge opinion on a theme for the Stag during the course of our weekend.

Do not hold back on suggestions for the weekend or for sites which could qualify for the "Stag's Links".
